Antiparos lies just a short 10 minute ferry ride from Paros. The island is home to many beautiful beaches, enchanting alleyways, and a relaxing yet lively main town. Antiparos is an easy trip from Paros – we hopped on the ferry from Pounta, which cost us only €1.10 each way! As soon as we arrived we felt time slow just a bit, the perfect vibe for our afternoon day trip.
We arrived on Antiparos in the early afternoon and we were ready for lunch. I had heard about this small hotel with a private beach and restaurant that sounded like the perfect spot! We flagged down a cab at the port and we were on our way.
BEACH HOUSE ANTIPAROS
Beach House Antiparos truly has that laid back beach house feel. While also a hotel, the property has a full restaurant and beach loungers available to the public on their private beach. We settled into our beachfront table and quickly ordered two ice cold beers.
Our lunch at Beach House was fantastic! We shared tuna tartar, sea bass carpaccio and a phenomenal spaghetti vongole.
After lunch, the private beach was the perfect spot to waste the afternoon away under the sun and enjoy the crystal clear water!
After some time at the beach we decided to head back into town to enjoy the views and explore the local shops.
The main town, known as Antiparos Town, is worth exploring. The long main street hugs the coastline and is easy to navigate. There are a number of fantastic restaurants and shops to pop in and out of. Before heading back on the ferry we stopped by a little seaside restaurant for a glass of wine while enjoying the view!
If you’re looking for a day trip from Paros, Antiparos, its smaller, quaint sister island is worth the trip!
