2. Lions, Tigers & Koala Bears, Oh My

When your walking tour is complete, catch a ferry from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo on Sydney’s North Shore. The ferry ride will only set you back 12 minutes and the view of Sydney Harbor is breathtaking. There is plenty to do at Taronga Zoo, a massive property with over 4,000 animals and multiple events throughout the day including tours and concerts. You should definitely head over to the koala exhibit for the opportunity to take a photo and play with the famous local bears and check out the giraffes at lunch time for the chance to feed them a carrot or two. Don’t forget to stop in the cafe for a fantastic view of Sydney Harbor from the other side of the bay. There truly is something for everyone at Taronga Zoo.

3. A Night at the Opera

It’s been a long day, but you don’t want to miss the beautiful evening. Head back to Circular Quay to enjoy sunset drinks and fresh seafood at Opera Bar. The well known outdoor space is a bustling hotspot that picks up during happy hour and weekends which is no surprise because the sunset view is spectacular.

Do your best not to over indulge because before you know it, the Opera House will be calling your name. More than Sydney’s most famous monument, The Sydney Opera House presents over 400 performances each year, including classical music concerts, comedy, theatre, and dance. Be sure to check the schedule ahead of time to secure tickets. A night at the opera (house) in Sydney is a once in a lifetime experience you don’t want to miss!
